I don't believe in LinkedIn.

I don't believe in Instagram.

I don't believe in Facebook.

And I don't believe in the social networks that are currently popular among younger generations and people in general.

To me, all of them are primarily distractions. They pull your attention away from your real goals and slowly derail your focus.

My own experience has reinforced this belief. I used to be on LinkedIn, and over time I noticed how people who once maintained a more professional presence gradually drifted toward attention-driven behavior influenced by platforms like TikTok and Facebook. Posting personal photos, shallow commentary, or content designed purely to attract attention rather than deliver real value. In the long run, this kind of behavior erodes the credibility and reputation of those platforms.

To keep myself away from that environment entirely, I chose not to participate in any social networks at all.

The best alternative, in my view, is for each person to have their own personal website, purely as a way to present who they are on their own terms.

Not a site built on ready-made platforms or prepackaged tools like WordPress, but something built from scratch. Something I fully own, fully understand, and can evolve over time. I plan to move forward with that approach, and I don't see managing it as a particularly difficult or heavy task. It aligns better with who I am and helps me stay focused on what actually matters.
